Ladies of DCTV - September 14th to 20th

We're excited to announce our next event – Ladies of DCTV!

The event runs for a week – from September 14^th to September 20^th – with a different optional theme each day. There's no sign-up for it. You can @dctvgen for us to reblog on tumblr, submit a post here (you need to join the community and posts go to a moderation queue) or post to the Ao3 collection.

Themes below:

• Monday 14^th September – Superpowers – Whether they be canonical superpowers, bestowed by an AU, or just the metaphorical kind, we want to see ladies being super in some way.
• Tuesday 15^th September – Identity – How do they see themselves? How do others see them? Perhaps they have more than one, or a secret identity, to juggle. A special mention that this day is also World Afro Day, for the celebration of the natural hairstyles of black and multiracial people.
• Wednesday 16^th September – Hobbies – Just what do your favorite ladies get up to (usually off-screen) in their free time?
• Thursday 17^th September – Friendship – Canon is sometimes short on female friendship, but we’d love to see them. This coincides with 'Locate an old friend day' for anyone who wants to resurrect a character’s old friendships (or retcon one into existence) where canon neglected any.
• Friday 18^th September – Careers – What did they want to be when they grew up? How did their dreams change (or not)? Anything career-related works here, and it’s also on International Equal Pay Day.
• Saturday 19^th September – Villains – Bring us villainesses in all their power and glory. Or you’re equally welcome to reimagine a heroine gone dark side. They may be flawed, and morally grey at best, but there’s a lot of scope for interesting tales. If you’re looking for extra inspiration, this is on International Talk Like A Pirate Day too.
• Sunday 20^th September – free day – any theme you like so long as it focuses on the women of the shows.

A big thank you to the awesome ginger-canary​ for creating the above event banner. With so many great characters across the shows, we obviously couldn’t get them all on there but we look forward to seeing a variety of fanworks created for the many ladies of DCTV.
